What happens after my biopsy?
Most people can go home after a few hours of monitoring for complications. If you have a complication, you may need to spend the night in the hospital for your safety.
You can shower and resume gentle activities on the day of the biopsy. You can use acetaminophen for tenderness. Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen or naproxen until after the day of the biopsy.
You can return to all of your normal activities on the next day. Unless your clinician says otherwise, it is OK to take all of your usual medications the next day.
